Have you checked your speed using : "Dan Elwell's Broadband Speed Test"
If you mean to say that it happened suddenly then I would suggest restoring your system to an earlier date when your connection was working fine.. If this works then check out the stuff you may have installed after that date. Before you do that I suggest you create a new restore point as well so if things dont change going back you can bring your system back to the current state. If things dont change call your sky and tell them the speed test was done using Dan Elwell's Broadband Speed Test and they will look at it more seriously. Where is the support staff by the way? Is it in UK or offshore? |

Just thought would let you know that you dont need to buy it as the free version works the same except it doesnt check your uploading speed which you can check at other places to get a better idea.

I cant see Sky Broadband as an option in that speed test
I did receive a letter saying sky were upgrading there internet in slower areas in this month could that be the cause |

You can just say other or type in the name as it doesnt really make any difference. They ask you your isp so they can create a data base for themselves and rate isps and stuff like that so its not important.
If you recieved an e-mail/letter saying Sky will be upgrading their servers then I am sure that is what the reason is as they would temporarily shut down some boxes and route the traffic using different servers then are assigned for you and this causes congestion in the network for the time the uprgading is going on. I would suggest waiting untill the time they are done upgrading their servers in your area and if things dont improve call them up and let them know that they have pushed you back to the stone age and it is quicker to go and drop off a letter down the street then sending an e-mail ![]() Hope your connection is restored back to normal soon and you can resume your gaming

haha yeh it probably is but they sent a letter saying they would be doing the upgrades this month but mines be going down and up since then and it was fine before that so im guessing when they shut down some areas it makes everything slow just i aint seen anyone else complaining and i dont see why not its annoying lol i hope they finish soon
i didnt keep the letter so i cant check XD |
