I have just switched to Virgin Media broadband and straight away ran in to big problems with my wireless connections. I checked all the settings installed the Wireless Manager that Virgin supplied and installed the software for Netgear adaptors and all worked well until I rebooted my PC and couldn't get a connection. I went through the process or rebooting the modem, router and PC and all was fine again, but every time PC was rebooted got the same problem.
SOLUTION: Remove all Virgin and Netgear software, connect your PC directly to the modem via ethernet cable, plug in your wireless adaptor and let Windows Update find and install drivers. Now reconnect modem and router and reboot your PC and use Windows to handle you wireless connection. This can save you hours of frustration - I hope that you find this helpful. BBWizard
